Navigating the Users section

These settings are only editable by users with site manager permissions or higher.



This article contains:



Admin users operate the StorAxxS platform and can perform the following functions depending on their access levels:

  • site management tasks: e.g. operate doors, edit units
  • business management tasks: e.g. create, edit and delete customers
  • administrative tasks: e.g. site and user management



View the Users list

  • Navigate to Settings>Users
  • The user list will be displayed
  • The list can be searched using the Search field
  • The list can be sorted by each of the columns



Create New User

  1. Select the New button
  2. The New User page will display
  3. Complete the New User form:
    1. First name
    2. Last name
    3. Email
    4. Phone
    5. Site Access PIN: numerical code to operate the facility entrance gate
    6. Organisation: select from the drop down
    7. Password: assign a password to the new user, which the user can later change
    8. Confirm Password
    9. Select Save
  4. The User details page will display
  5. Assign the new user a role (see 'Assign Permissions/Role' section below)



View User Details

  1. Select a user from the Users list
  2. The User Details page will be displayed
  3. All of the user's details are displayed in the left section


User permissions

  • The Permissions tab lists sites that the user can access and the ‘Role’ the user has at the site(s) e.g. site manager, site staff etc.


Assign Permissions/Role to user

After a new user is created, a role needs to be assigned to the user. 

Without an assigned role, a user cannot log onto the platform.

The level of permissions that a user has to operate the platform is determined by the ‘Role’ the user is assigned (see ‘User Permissions’ section of the platform).


  1. On the User details page, select the Permissions tab
  2. Select the New button
  3. The ‘Assign Role’ modal will display
  4. Select the Role dropdown
  5. Select the user's role
  6. Select the Site dropdown
  7. Select the applicable site
  8. Select Save
  9. The user can now log onto the platform using the email address and password configured during the user account creation


Delete Permissions/Role from user

  1. On the User details page, select the Permissions tab
  2. Select the checkbox of the role(s) to be deleted
  3. Select the Action button
  4. Select Delete


If all of the user's roles are deleted, the user is unable to log onto the StorAxxS platform.


User activity

  • The Activity tab lists the user’s door operation history
  • At a glance information includes activity performed, date/time and location
  • Select any Snapshot thumbnail to view a larger image




User PIN Codes

Users can have multiple PIN codes that can be used to access the storage facility. The codes are linked to their account and they can be configured to never expire or they can be configured with a start and end date. The codes can be shared with anyone and when used to access the storage facility, a gate activity record is logged that includes the PIN code description (nickname), date and time.


Users with Site Manager permissions or higher can view, create, edit and delete user PIN codes.


To navigate to the PIN codes section of the dashboard

  • In the left menu select Settings>Users>Any listed user>PIN Codes tab


The PIN codes list will be displayed. 

The list displays:

  • which site a code is linked to

  • the codes description (nickname)

  • the PIN code (if enabled in the organisation settings)

  • the code’s start and end dates (if applicable)

  • the code’s status

  1. Enter a PIN that is at least 6 digits and does not repeat numbers.
  2. Create a  description (nickname) for the PIN code.
  3. Select which site the code will be used at.
  4. Optional - configure the date you’d like the code to become active.
  5. Optional - configure the date you’d like the code to expire.

  1. Select the Action button
  2. Select Edit from the drop down menu
  3. The Edit PIN code modal displays
  4. Edit any of the available fields
  5. Select Save

  1. Select the Action button
  2. Select Delete from the drop down menu
  3. The Delete PIN code modal displays
  4. Select Delete

  1. On the User details page, select the Actions button
  2. Select Edit
  3. Change any of the user’s details on the form
  4. Select Save

  1. On the User details page, select the Actions button
  2. Select Change Password
  3. The Change Password modal will display
  4. Type the new password in ‘New Password’ and ‘Repeat New Password’ fields
  5. Select Save
  6. The User’s password will immediately update
  7. The User will be required to use the new password the next time they sign into the StorAxxS platform

  2. Select Delete
  3. The Delete User modal will display
  4. Select Delete
