When a storage unit door is overlocked, the customer renting the unit is unable to open the door and access their items. The door can only be opened from the User Dashboard.

Overlock a Storage Unit Door
To overlock the storage unit of a customer with an active booking, navigate to the Access Control tab on the Customer Details page and follow these steps:
- Select the Door Control dropdown for the applicable unit
- Select Overlocked
- The 'Manual Overlock Status' modal will display
- Type a message in the Notes field (optional)
- Select Save to overlock the unit
- The Door Control dropdown will be replaced with the 'Overlocked' button
- On the facility map, the door of the unit will turn black
- The customer will receive an email notification that the unit has been overlocked
If the Gate Overlock Behaviour site setting is configured, overlocking a storage unit may also deny the customer access to the facility
Remove Overlock from a Storage Unit Door
To remove the overlock on a customer's storage unit, navigate to the Access Control tab on the Customer Details page and follow these steps:
- Select the Overlocked button
- The 'Manual Overlock Status' modal will display
- Type a message in the Notes field (optional)
- Select the Save button to remove the overlock from the unit
- The Door Control dropdown will again be displayed
- On the facility map, the door of the unit will update its status
If the Gate Overlock Behaviour site setting is configured removing overlock will allow the customer to access the storage facility
