In this article, you'll learn how to use the customer app to access your storage unit.

The StorAxxS customer app makes accessing your storage unit very easy. After logging into your account, you will be on the Access tab of the app. All of your currently rented units will be shown in a list, as well as any gates required to reach those units - normally, this will only be the main entrance gate to the site. Simply tap on the applicable gate or unit to operate it.

Open the gate using the app
- On the Access page, tap the listed gate to display the Gate Operation page
- The gate status is displayed below the gate name and updates in real time

- Tap the gate name to open the gate operation page
- Tap Unlock to open the gate
- Tap Lock button to close the gate*
At many sites the gate closes automatically so locking is not required.
Open the gate and access your unit using the PIN pad
To access the gate
- Enter your PIN code into the PIN pad
- Press the # key to enter
To access your unit using the PIN pad
- Enter your PIN code followed by the last four digits of the mobile number you registered with (example: 132451 4620)
- Press the # key to open the gate and unlock you unit
Accessing your unit from the PIN pad may not be enabled at your site. Please confirm with site staff before accessing.
Open the storage unit using the app
- On the Access page, tap the listed unit to display the Unit Door Operation page
- The lock and door status is displayed below the unit name and updates in real time.
- Tap Unlock to open your unit
- Tap Lock to close your unit
Unit detail page
- The Lock status can be Locked or Unlocked
- The Door status can be Closed or Open
Additionally, if the unit's door is forced or if motion is detected in a locked unit, the alarm notification will be displayed on the door operation page
Your storage unit may be fitted with a Smart Lock which will automatically lock so tapping the 'Lock' button on the Door Operation page is not required.
Access without an Internet connection
If the Internet or Site's network is unavailable, the storage unit door can still be operated using the app.
The app will automatically recognise that the internet is not available and attempt to communicate with the unit controller using the mobile device's Bluetooth signal. If successful the storage unit door will unlock.
Offline access to your storage unit
View Activity logs
Tapping the 'Activity' button on the door operation page shows all the recent activity of the unit, including opens, closes, locks and unlocks, as well as any accompanying snapshots that were taken during those events.
