A customer has just signed up, but their PIN code isn’t working

Step 1: Wait a few minutes for the ingest to complete

The ingest between SiteLink and the StorAxxS server is instant. However, there are timed ‘workers’ that run on the server every five minutes that pull data from the server down onto the hub onsite.


If the customer speeds through the SiteLink sign-up process and doesn’t sign up for the StorAxxS app, it can take up to five minutes for the worker to run and the data to be brought down to the site’s hub.


If the customer signs up for the app, this forces the customer down to the hub regardless of the timer. This is useful if the customer needs access immediately.


Step 2: Manually update the PIN in StorAxxS

Once the data is transferred from SiteLink into StorAxxS, they will have an account in the StorAxxS system, located on the Customers page on the dashboard. Go onto that page and search for the customer in the search field at the top. Click on the customer’s name to go into their details page.


From the customer’s details page, select the (1)PIN Codes tab and click on the (2)New button. The 'New PIN Code' modal will open.



(1) Manually enter the customer’s desired PIN code. To avoid a potential typo, it can be copied and pasted from SiteLink to make sure the PIN in both locations is the same. 
(2) Then type a Description
(3) Make a selection from the Site dropdown list
(4) Optionally, configure a Start date and an Expiry date 
(5) Then click Save in the bottom right.
